As the saying goes, proper diet and excercise will keep you healthy, wealthy and wise.
Attempting to make drastic changes, all at once can be difficult to maintain and ultimately self sabotaging, so we found 3 easy ways you can make small changes for lasting, positive results.
1.) VEG UP!
Starting with just one of your daily meals, pick a smaller sized plate and fill half of it up with veggies! Focus on doing the opposite of what most people do. First, fill your plate with half veggies, then use the space left for your carbs and protein.
2.) DRINK SMARTER
Drinking calorie free beverages between meals can really reduce your overall caloric intake for the day. Try sugar free soda, sparkling waters, flavored teas or black coffee. AND drink one glass of water before every meal. Not only will you be less hungry, but it ensures that no matter what, you’re drinking three glasses of water a day.
3.) MOVE & REST YOUR BODY
Aim for 10,000 steps a day by taking walks during work breaks, phone calls and family time. You could even schedule a weekly walk with a friend! Proper rest is essential to good health and energy levels as well, so avoid technology at least one hour before bed, and try reading, meditating or just relaxing instead.
Why not start with the one that resonates with you most and don't forget to set a few milestones so you can reward yourself for a job well done!

LIFE INSURANCE IS: LOVE INSURANCE
Individual Life Insurance can be important for:
- A source of savings.
- Final expenses.
- Income for dependents.
- Inheritance.
- Used to pay taxes.
- Making a charitable contribution.
Life Insurance Options:
Generally age and health are the most important factor in the premium you will pay. Although you can purchase a policy at any age, the younger you are the more affordable the policies will be.
All life insurance policies are designed to pay a benefit when someone dies. The two most common types of life insurance are Term and Whole (or Permanent) policies.
Term Insurance is usually the most affordable type of coverage. The term of the policy usually lasts between 1 and 30 years and pays only if a death occurs during the policy term.
The advantage of Whole or Permanent Insurance is the death benefit and premium will usually remain the same during the duration of the policy.
Here are some additional lines of insurance that we service:
- Buy/Sell Funding
- Term
- Universal
- Whole
Our agents at Aspen Agency can guide you through the different types of Minnesota life insurance policies available and help you chose the policy that will best fulfill your unique needs and goals.
